Management development

Several of our communications and marketing related assignments have involved organisational change involving giving advice on new organisational structures and transfer of skills training. We use a number of well known techniques including Appreciative Inquiry.

Recently several of our clients have asked us to help them with performance coaching and training/development for individuals and teams. John Neal joined our team in 2010 as a senior consultant to help build on our work in this area.

We are working with John to introduce and run the Legacy Coaching Programme for all types of organisations including professional bodies' head office and regional teams as well as their individual and corporate members.

This inspirational programme develops coaching skills and helps others to be the best they can be - at work and in their personal lives. The skills acquired are directly transferable into improved business performance and life skills and community volunteering - thus helping organisations go some way to fulfilling their CSR ambitions.

Partnerships in Care

Partnerships in Care (PiC) is the largest independent provider of secure mental health facilities across the UK, specialising in the areas of mental illness, personality disorder, learning disability and brain injury rehabilitation. We are delivering a programme to help improve the performance of, and support for, managers at ward and hospital level throughout the organisation in England.

A series of workshops for 150 managers is underway, focussing on achieving impact and influence, resolving conflicts, negotiation and managing performance.

Since starting work on this contract PiC has appointed us to carry out two further projects:

  1. a four-day programme for nurses and healthcare assistants covering coaching, leadership and teamwork in one of their poorer performing units
  2. a team building programme for eight senior managers in a unit where virtually all members of the SMT have been in their roles for less than twelve months
